About the artist

Maya Keren

Maya works in acrylic with a technique of her own: she pulls the paint outward from the canvas so that each touch leaves a small, peaked point standing above the surface.

She returns again and again to the circle: basketballs, smiley faces, cheerful and familiar shapes that take on new depth when they are made of thousands of points of paint.
